For Providers

Equivalent efficacy. Preferred by patients.

Leading sleep physicians at SleepRes designed Kricket specifically to deliver KPAP, providing the same therapeutic efficacy as CPAP while improving comfort and reducing side effects.2

Why Kricket

Designed for comfort and efficacy.

Equivalent therapeutic efficacy

KPAP demonstrates equivalent efficacy to CPAP in reducing AHI in randomized PSG studies.2*

Superior patient comfort

In a blinded crossover comfort trial against leading CPAP devices, 93% of patients preferred KPAP over CPAP.2**

Same billing. Same coverage. Same workflow.

Kricket is billed under E0601—the same billing code, same coverage criteria, and same reimbursement as traditional CPAP therapy. Even the billing code for the humidifier is the same: E0562.

Reduced mask leak

Kricket reduces unintentional mask leak by 40% compared to CPAP.2* In doing so, Kricket may help address a key barrier to long-term PAP therapy success, as an independent study found mask leak has been associated with reduced PAP therapy adherence.3-4

Clinical Evidence

The evidence behind KPAP.

Two peer-reviewed studies.
One conclusion: sleep apnea patients are ready for the PAP therapy revolution.

KPAP delivers the same therapeutic outcomes as the gold standard, but with the comfort patients consistently choose.

Patient Preference

KPAP is preferred by patients for sleep apnea treatment.

Comfort trial

93%

93% of PAP-naïve participants preferred KPAP over CPAP across multiple pressure settings.2

How to Prescribe Kricket

It’s simple to add Kricket to your workflow.

For Durable Medical Equipment Providers (DMEs)

Designed for efficient DME workflows.

Same workflow. Better economics.

Same billing

Kricket bills under E0601: the same code, coverage criteria, and reimbursement as traditional CPAP. The humidifier code stays E0562 as well. It’s that simple.

Streamline PAP workflows

Kricket™ can be incorporated into established patient setup, education, monitoring, and support processes.

Standard PAP supplies

Kricket™ is designed for use with commonly available PAP masks, tubing, and accessories, helping it fit within existing DME workflows.

Frequently asked questions

Kairos Positive Airway Pressure (KPAP) is a comfort feature that reduces the pressure during therapy making it feel more like natural breathing.

KPAP isn’t a mode. Kricket runs both CPAP and Auto CPAP modes with KPAP layered on top of both as a comfort feature. You’re not replacing CPAP; you’re adding a comfort algorithm that makes it more natural to breathe.

Yes. Kricket is compatible with most standard PAP masks. KPAP also reduces unintentional mask leak by 40%.*

Kricket runs standard CPAP and Auto CPAP modes. Clinicians can remotely switch off the KPAP comfort feature without changing devices. Patients keep their setup; you will just have to turn off the comfort layer.

No. KPAP will never allow pressure to drop below 5 cmH₂O. For patients on lower settings, the drops scale down accordingly. For example, a patient set at 8 cmH₂O experiences a 3 cmH₂O total drop, not the full 5 cmH₂O drop.

Same as traditional CPAP. Kricket is billed under E0601 with the same coverage criteria and reimbursement. The humidifier bills under E0562. No financial reclassification needed.

Kricket operates the same as any CPAP machine your team already sets up: same workflow, same mask compatibility, same billing. KPAP is a comfort setting that’s on by default; there’s no new clinical protocol to learn.

Patient comfort can increase adherence, and adherence can drive resupply. Kricket addresses the discomfort that causes up to 50% of CPAP users to abandon therapy.³ More patients staying on therapy can translate to more predictable resupply orders.

Yes. Kricket doesn’t require vendor displacement. Most DMEs start by adding it for new patient setups or for pressure-sensitive patients who haven’t tolerated their current device.
